Switzerland

We spent the weekend traveling through switzerland. We did 4 cities in 2 days. It was beautiful. It is amazing how each country even though they are attached can be so different and at the same time so much the same. We got a better exchange rate with the Swiss Frank then with the Euro, but dont let that fool you. In Switzerland the prices are doubled to match the Euro.

Our 1st stop was Zurich. Beautiful town full of life and swans!!! We saw all the sights that the weather would allow, including the big and the small munster. and the Trav and the kids took a ride on a ferris wheel.

Our 2nd stop was Lucerne, where we spent the night. Lucerne was my favorite stop. The atmospher was wanderful. There was a lot of mideavil sights to see. The Jesuits church was beautiful. I wish we would have had more time here but we had to press on to stop #3.......

Stop #3 was Basel. We enjoyed Basel, we saw Einsteins home where he lived with his wife and children while he figured out relativity, next we saw the houses of parliment, the mideavil clock tower, and the church which had the most beautiful statue, the detail in it was unreal!

Last stop was Bern, the capital of Switzerland. This is a huge city but we did get to see the munster, and the mideavil wall before heading for home.
