Tick.

So my poor little daughter has bad luck. We found a tick on her last night. I called the Fam, Grandma and Grandpa, Dad, Mom, and after trying everything they said I decided the tick was dead. So I covered it in neosporin (because I dont have vasalin) and slapped a big ole piece of tape over it in case it was playing posum and put her to bed. She was so freaked out she was shaking. We went to the doc's this morning and they picked it off and sent it to the lab. Now we just have to watch for a rash.

These things always happen to Sarriah. The only thing funny about the whole experience was when Sarriah asked what ticks do to you, I told her they suck your blood. She started to laugh and said "if it sucks out alot of my blood it will get big and fat and then we can rip it off!"

Mothers day flowers

Trav sent me these beautiful flowers for mothers day. Even though he wasnt here for mothers day, he still made me feel special.

Slumber party

We had a crazy American Idol/Makeover slumber party.
First we sang our hearts out then we got all dolled up for a movie night in
with popdorn and soda. The kids got to bed late and the moms even later, but we enjoyed every moment of our wild little night. We had all 7 kids singin and dancing, and I'm sure the ice cream sundies we made helped keep our energy levels stay high.

Our 4day weekend

First we went to Nurnberg Germany, It was a cool town with large castle.

Then we went to Wurzburg Germany, to see the biggest castle we have ever seen. We also went on a tour of a wine cellar which was really beautiful.

Last we went to Treir Germany which was amazing. Mostly because we played hide and seek in the roman baths with the kids. The town was cool but playing with the kids was the high light. there were all these underground tunnels you could run around in and hide. We had a blast!!

Sarriahs bone

This is what has been causing that strange odor from Sarriahs nose. After 2yrs it was finally discovered and removed thanks to Dr. Ravi. Sarriah was such a trooper! She didnt move even though they didnt numb her before they took it out. She now says she can smell better, and her nose doesnt hurt anymore.

Moms if you think there is something wrong with your little tikes, make someone listen to you! This piece of bone was embedded in her nose for over 2yrs, and who knows how many doctors. This is not human bone. The smell that was coming from her nose was almost unbearable for the rest of us. We are so happy to be putting this whole thing behind us, and even more pleased that it wasnt fungus or worse.

Marriage retreat, with the kids.

This last weekend we were able to go to a marriage retreat in Bad Kissingen Germany. After a 4 hr bus ride(with the kids) we arrived at a four star German hotel. We check in and first thing the kids want to do is go swimming, of coarse. So we quickly change because we only have a few hours til Trav and I had to be to our first meeting, rush down to the pool, splash around for an hour and head back to the room. Time for a shower.... or so I thought. We have no hot water!!!!!! Great, so I washed my hair in ice cold water. Burrrrr. After I defrosted.... we were able to get down to buisness. It was actually really great. I think we walked away from the retreat with a few good ideas on how to make our marriage one that will stand the test of time, and maybe even add another little oscarson to the journey.
Bad Kissingen is a very small town with very few attractions. The chaplains planned it this way so we would have no choice but to give him our full attention. The few attractions we did get to see (outside of our classes) were the castle ruins 2 mins away, and a very old monistary which is said to have the worlds best beer? Funny that a bunch of very religious men sit around and make beer all day huh!!! We only had a 1/2 hour to check it out so we didnt see much.

The last night we were there we went swimming, again. This time was a lot more memorable. My little dare devil decided not to wait for mom and dad and slipped into the pool. Thankfully there was a woman within a few feet of where he was practically drowning and pulled him out. He came out choking and crying, and all I could do at first was scold him and say "what were you thinking!" It scared the crap out of me! After that we decided it would be a good idea to teach the kids how to float.

Just the guys

Travis took Parker out for a daddy son day at the shooting range. This is Parkers first time shooting, and after this I'm sure it won't be his last. He had a blast! Parker hit the target every time he shot. Daddy was so proud.

Super model

Everywhere we go, everything we do, if I have a camera Sarriah is always posing.

The basics

I'am a 25 (almost 26) year old mother of 2. My husband Travis (29) and I have been married for 8 years this August and all though we have had our ups and downs I'am proud to say we are still together and making every day count. Our son Parker is 6, and he is all boy. The snakes, the snails, and the puppy dog tails. He is messy, he's loud, and he lights up my life with every new trial he puts me through. Our daughter Sarriah is 7, and I couldn't ask for a better child. She trully is a princess and an amazing little girl. My life has been blessed by my 2 little angels. We also have two dogs. Missy is 8, and Bailey is 2.
